For normal use the job logs should be used in order to check up on processing of files, but in some rare cases you might need to look into the system log of InterformNG2.
To access the system log you need to sign on as a system admin.
The system log files are stored on the file system in {InterFormNG2_HOME}\profiles\default\logs.
If you run InterformNG2 on the IBM i platform, then you can also find this log in the IFS and via the menu option 31. Display print service log on the IFORMNG2 menu,
The system log looks like this:
- Log file
On the top left you can select a specific log file. Each file is named with the timestamp of when it was closed. - Log level filter
Here you can select the severity of the entries inside the system log, that you want to see. You can e.g. choose to only see entries referring to an error and/or warnings. - Search lines
- You can also type in a text to search for in the system log.
On the top right you can see this:

- Rows per page
With rows per page you can decide how many entries from the system log, that you want to display in the browser window/page at a time.
